Patient education is important to the success of implant procedure. Dr. Steven Park and Dr. Rami Ammoun want you to understand every stage of the procedure to help you experience the best possible benefits. The following describes what you can expect.
Dental Implant Procedure in 5 Steps
Sequence of Appointments
Free Consultation
Day 1
One of our dentists and you will determine your needs, assess your oral health, review your medical history, and discuss treatment options. We’ll also discuss costs, financing options if necessary, and timing.
Pre-Procedure Exam
Can be same day as Free Consultation
We'll take a 3D CT scan and create a photo-realistic 3D digitalization of your face and jaw area as well as make impressions of your teeth. This exam usually lasts around an hour.
Surgery Day
2 days-1 week after Pre-Op Exam
We'll start by reviewing sedation options (IV sedation included, or Oral). During the actual surgery, any teeth, if required, will be removed, implants are placed in the jaw bone, and your temporary, non-removable full-set of teeth are attached. You leave with your implanted teeth and new smile!
Post-Op Evaluation
1 week following surgery
You'll come back to our office for a full evaluation to ensure proper healing, aesthetics, and functionality.
Deliver Final Prosthesis
13 weeks following post-op evaluation
There are several followup visits in the process. Two months after Post-Op, we check to make sure everything is healing properly. Then in 2 weeks, we fit a new temporary try in. If you are happy with these results, in three weeks we deliver your final prosthesis. The final restoration is permanently attached and the doctor will give a final evaluation of your bite and aesthetics. You'll leave with your new permanent smile and self-confidence, which you can enjoy for the rest of your life!
